This is the art channel of Greenpeace,
which provides the chance of anyone to view artwork that promotes love to our oceans.

Anyone can be our supporter by joining us, regardless of whether you have artworks or not.

Further support can be done by submitting ANY Greenpeace campaign related OR ocean life related artworks to us.

The Whaling Issue--

Japan's Whaling Programme in Disarray.
As the whaling fleet prepares to depart Japan, evidence is mounting of an industry in terminal disarray, as new revelations of financial and image problems add to the woes of the scandal-plagued industry.

The 2 Greenpeace activists (known as the Tokyo Two) exposing whale meat from Japan are still under arrest in Japan.
The officials had announced that they will remain in jail for 10 years, shortly after one of its whale meat transportation ship was de-flagged.
This is a violation against human rights.

How to submit your artwork:


(A) Submitting via DeviantArt:
1. Firstly, upload your deviation using your own deviantart account.
2. Secondly, send us the link to your artwork using the NOTE function, with the title "Submit Art".



(B) Submitting via Greenpeace Forum [link] (For those without a deviantart account)
There are two methods:
1.
Just post your work as a post on Greenpeace Forum [link] in this discussion board [link]
2.
OR, send a private message to either cherubfish or nirmonculus on Greenpeace Forum.

What sort of Art work does Greenpeace want?
1. Content: Any art related to Oceans. ie: the sea or marine animals.
2. Media: The Art can be done in any sort of way: from photography to manga, fine art to sculptures, EVEN LITERATURE like poems or lyrics!

What sort of Art work we DON'T want:

1. Porn/erotic/rude art. (includes anything to do with human sex, no matter nude or not!)
NB: Non-porn nudity is ok. (eg: [link] )
2. Violence/ bloody scenes/ unpleasant scenes that has NOTHING to do with protecting the oceans. (ie a) anti-whaling, b) anti- ocean pollution, c) anti- seal hunting, d) anti- shark finning.)
ie: If your art has those scenes but it is about anti-whaling...etc it is OK! (eg: [link] )



Don't worry if your art is suitable or not.
If you are suspicious about your own art, send it to us via deviant note, or private message to cherubfish on Greenpeace Forum [link]
(ie: do NOT post it on Greenpeace Forum publicly)

We will judge whether we are going to put your art on our club, and we will analyze which warnings to put (or rather, without warnings at all)
If your art is really unsuitable, we will just not submit it.

However, if your art does not get submitted, it does not necessarily mean that it is unsuitable. It can be because of technical problems, or lack of time of staffs, or maybe the staff had deleted your note by mistake...etc)
If your art is still not submitted WHILST OTHER'S GET SUBMITTED, send us your art again.
If you see that no art has been submitted for a long time, then it will probably because no one's have time.
